Suggestions for students…
Review your Boating Essentials handbook prior to your first class. The Seamanship course will build on those basics.
This course is extensive and will require some homework time, other than classroom time.
It’s recommended that once the schedule is revealed, that the next class topic is pre-read. In that way, once the instructor has covered that topic in class, questions can be resolved right away.
We also suggest that assigned homework be completed and handed in at the beginning of each class for marking by our proctors. This ensures we can keep on top of issues immediately and correct them as we proceed.
