Jim McLarty

Commander

The purpose of our website is to provide you, our squadron members and friends, with the latest Squadron information. We assume, whether you are a CPS member or not you are looking to improve your knowledge and skills to feel more comfortable and safe while out on our challenging waters: S.E. Georgian Bay. Well, you’ve come to the right place!

Midland Squadron and its volunteer training instructors and proctors, have been teaching safe boating in the area for more than sixty years.

Check out our course offerings and give us feedback as to what courses you want and when—we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

You’re invited to review our boating education courses and we hope you’ll agree that taking one of our courses will help you become a more confident boater, able to explore our waterways safely. The Boating Essentials (now Boating 2) course will get you on track. Our Course Information page has the information you need to get you started. Check it out now and sign up to take one of our upcoming courses.

Here’s our home on Georgian Bay:

Members are welcome to sit in on/participate in our monthly Bridge meetings which begin at 7:30 p.m., the first Tuesday each month (except July and August) at Calvary Baptist Church, lower level meeting room. Please join us to learn how this busy squadron’s Bridge endeavours to arrive at and accomplish its goals each season.

This is an open invitation to members who would like to become part of or learn more about this dynamic team ... please contact me at mclartys@rogers.com and we'll get you on board.

Read all about and sign up for your Free Courtesy Vessel Safety Check service offered by our squadron.

As you browse our site, if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions for the squadron or any ideas about how we can improve this site, please feel free to contact me or any member of the bridge.
